What is Brighton & Hove Credit Union (BHCU)?

The Credit Union is a savings and loans co-operative with membership open to anyone living or working in Brighton & Hove plus Peacehaven.

It offers secure savings accounts and low cost flexible borrowing to its members. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. It offers competitive financial products to all people and encourages members to save rather than borrow. It specialises in helping local people, often with debt problems, and who have no access to mainstream banks.
